Tirzepatide may affect the absorption of orally administered medications via delayed gastric emptying. Review all current medications with the prescriber.
Oral contraceptives — counseling regarding non-oral or barrier method during titration is recommended. Insulin / sulfonylureas — concomitant use increases hypoglycemia risk; dose reduction usually required. Warfarin — monitor INR more closely during titration. Levothyroxine — timing separation may be needed.
